Spring Solstice Rememberings

Around this time of year I am reminded a lot of my grandmother who loved cherry blossoms almost as much as me.  She and granddad are both gone now, but after clearing a lot of clutter I thought I’d preserve some photos for our new digital age. I’m enjoying seeing these at a new distance. There is so much interesting dynamic in an immigrant’s family, I find, and I think that’s fairly objective… these are my mom’s parents and they both swore in and became Canadian citizens in their sixties – they knew more prime ministers of Canada than I did I’m sure!
